Our mutual friend Virginia asked me to read this post. She said you were looking for feedback.
I can tell you, I instantly felt connected to your fictional mom when she chastised herself for looking at cleavage! I joke with my husband that I sometimes feel like I woke up from my mastectomy surgery a teen aged boy!!!
I’m not a writer but I do read a lot and have realized that for fiction to keep my attention it has to touch my heart as well as my mind. I think you have the important things right. I’d be happy to discuss further with you privately if you think it would help, although I’m off on holidays until mid April.
